International expertise in diagnostics and therapy
Priv.-Doz. Dr. Werner Wackernagel has many years of experience in the treatment of eye tumors. For many years, he headed the tumor outpatient clinic at the University Eye Clinic Graz and served as Chair of the Tumor Commission of the Austrian Ophthalmological Society (ÖOG).

As the currently only Austrian full member of the European Ophthalmic Oncology Group (OOG) and an active member of the International Society for Ocular Oncology (ISOO), he is internationally well connected at a leading level. These collaborations—particularly with the Cleveland Clinic, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm), and the University of Liverpool—provide our patients with access to state-of-the-art treatments, some of which go beyond the national standard.
